About this program
Hidayah's Qira'at & Ijazah Program is for students ready to go beyond foundational tajweed and deepen their study of Qur'anic recitation. Students study the classical texts of Qira'at, memorize and understand their principles, and apply what they learn through recitation with a qualified teacher.
The program is rigorous and progresses according to each student's level. Qualified students may continue toward ijazah upon successful completion of the required study and recitation.
The Qira'at Pathway
- 01
Ash-Shatibiyyah
Study and memorization of the foundational classical text for the Seven Qira'at.
- 02
Ad-Durrah
Study of the three additional Qira'at, completing the Ten Minor Qira'at.
- 03
The Ten Minor Qira'at
Students apply the principles they have studied through guided recitation and continued study with their teacher.
- 04
Tayyibat al-Nashr
Advanced study for students progressing into the broader transmission paths of the Ten Major Qira'at.
- 05
Ijazah Pathway
Qualified students who successfully complete the required study and recitation may have the opportunity to receive ijazah.
